It’s Not A Secret… Privacy Guru Cory Underwood Joins The Team!

Feb 19, 2020

It’s no secret, talent attracts talent! So we are pleased to welcome our new platform engineer, Cory Underwood. Author of cunderwood.dev, Cory prolifically contributes to advancements and conversations at the forefront of the rapidly changing analytics landscape. In fact, he’s regularly in the top three contributors on the Measure Slack channel along with Simo Ahava and Tim Stewart. He’s well known in the analytics community for helping across that channel as well as within the Test and Learn Community (TLC), the Digital Analytics Association (DAA), and LinkedIn.

Cory joins us from L.L.Bean, where he’s worked as a professional developer for the past 8 years. He started out in the warehouse, but quickly found his place among the development team, where he helped rewrite the personalization program. He went on to be the organization’s primary tech lead for any A/B testing, analytics, personalization, and privacy efforts. He’s consulted internationally on GDPR and CCPA discussions.

Cory is extremely interested in the intersection between privacy & security and analytics programs. And, given his depth of research and thought leadership in both fields, he’ll be a tremendous addition to our team. He’ll be helping clients with tag installation, GDPR and CCPA compliance, audience definition, and Google Analytics implementation recommendations, specifically consulting on Tealium. What’s more, he’s working collaboratively with our other analytics gurus, including Joe Sutherland, Adam Greco, Wendy Ertter, Val Kroll, John Lovett, and Kelly Wortham. Our clients and our team will benefit from working alongside Cory.

“I’m really happy to be here,” Cory reports, “I love what I’m doing, and I’d like to be able to help people either comply with the regulations that they’re subject to or find a way to make their measurement more accurate.”

To learn more about how changes to the browsers are impacting traffic and the impacts recent privacy measures are having on testing and reporting now, catch Cory next week on the DAA’s Webinar Series, as guest speaker on the TLC, and at the Marketing Analytics Summit in June.
